How can Walk and Talk Therapy help me?

So you've now heard about this whole Walk and Talk Therapy thing, but you might be wondering if it is something that can help you in particular.

Going for a walk in the outdoors has sooooo many benefits to our mental health and general wellbeing. Below are a few that might convince you to try a Walking Session.

BUT there is more to it!

In addition to all the mental health benefits of a walk in nature, Walking Sessions are most suited to those who:

  • have increased levels of anxiety when indoors / in small spaces

  • have tried traditional office-based therapy and want to try something different

  • have difficulty sitting still and focusing

  • feel intimidated by sitting across from someone with a pen and paper

  • have difficulty maintaining eye contact and expressing themselves

And all those other benefits we mentioned before? Here are a few of them:

  • Improved mood

  • Increased creativity

  • Increased productivity

  • Increased physical health and wellbeing

  • Increased feeling of community

  • Increased focus

  • Improvements in feelings of depression

  • Increased feelings of relaxation

  • Increased patience levels

  • Increased feelings of connection

  • Increased motivation and inspiration

  • Increased kindness

  • Increased generosity

  • Reduction in anger

  • Reduction in fatigue

  • Increased feelings of happiness
